Daniel Kahneman is a legend. The Father of Behavioural Science, Princeton Professor and the Noble Prize winner. He profoundly influenced the psychology of judgement and decision-making and was one of the main researchers responsible for the revelation that people are not rational beings. Rather, he proposed that humans are susceptible to a host of heuristics and biases that cloud our daily judgements and decision-making abilities. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, he summarises his research and teaches us the many ways our mind trick us into making irrational decisions. This is probably one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand better how our mind works and how to optimize our decision-making process.
