¿QUÉ ES UNA MOCHILA AIRBAG?

La mochila airbag es un dispositivo de seguridad que permite permanecer en la superficie de una avalancha y siempre debe combinarse con el uso de un DVA, una pala y una sonda. El principio consiste en aumentar el volumen corporal de la persona mediante la activación de un airbag alrededor de la mochila. El sistema está equipado con un asa de activación que permite al airbag (integrado en el interior de la mochila) llenarse de aire en pocos segundos. Su funcionamiento se basa en un principio físico conocido como segregación inversa. Este fenómeno consiste en que objetos de menor volumen tenderán a hundirse, mientras que los de mayor volumen irán hacia la superficie, y por tanto, flotar. |
